Platform Engineer
Location: London, Holborn (Hybrid)
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (plus benefits, including training budget, pension, private healthcare)

The Platform Engineering team is an expanding group dedicated to aligning technology choices and implementations with the strategic objectives of our clients. As a Platform Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with other experts, including delivery leads, architects, and technical managers, and have the opportunity to work across various disciplines.
Your Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Advise and work with clients on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS strategies, designs, and programs, transforming their businesses with best-in-class methodologies.
- Platform Implementation: Implement and maintain platforms based on evolving business requirements, creating standards for delivery, design patterns, and system components.
- Innovation & Strategy: Contribute technical insights to internal projects and client bids to help secure new business and directly support our strategic objectives.
- Mentorship & Development: Actively grow your skills while coaching and mentoring junior team members to foster growth within the team.
Skills & Experience
Agile & DevOps
- Experience working within Agile or DevOps teams, using tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
Cloud & CI/CD
- Familiarity with public cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
Scripting & Configuration Management
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Expertise with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, and Pulumi.
Security & Observability
- Experience building secure applications and infrastructure, along with observability and telemetry monitoring skills.
- Knowledge of HashiCorp Suite (Packer, Terraform, Vault, Vagrant, Consul).
Containerization & Programming
- Proficiency with containerization tools: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm.
- Programming experience with languages such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
